Latest New Product from SS Inductions. | | We are proud to release the new Growler high performance over-the-radiator (OTR) cold air induction system for the Holden VE V8. |  | Instead of utilizing a forward facing filter, the OTR Growler® uses two extremely efficient pod filters attached to a "Y- pipe". The Y-pipe and filters are housed in a cowling which is specially designed to capture and channel the maximum amount of cool air through the filters and into the throttle body. The Y-pipe and airflow technology that SS Inductions uses is similar to that utilized on numerous "Supercars" such as the original 427 Monaro, BMW M5, Jaguar, Dodge Viper and Corvette.
As the OTR Growler® does not use the vehicle’s airflow meter, a maf-less tune is required when fitted. |  | To ensure the continuity of results, all performance testing was carried out at Power Torque Engines in Brendale Qld. Power Torque is an agent for Walkinshaw Performance. Initial dyno testing indicates that an increase of 30 rear wheel kilowatts can easily be achieved with the OTR Growler® and a maf-less tune. However, if a full custom tune is performed, an increase of close to 40 rear wheel kilowatts can be achieved. See attached dyno results from Power Torque Engines. |
